King's Lynn Mart 2006
The King's Lynn Mart is the oldest fair in the country, dating back to 1537. It's now a bustling fun fair, and will once again be taking over the Tuesday Market Place for two weeks starting on February 14th. Locals refer to "Mart Weather" - as it always snows during Mart week! Despite this, we plan to "rug up" and take pictures of the fair and opening ceremony - possibly even some video footage. So keep watching the site!
New fish bar for Lynn?
We hear (unconfirmed) rumours that a new Harry Ramsdens fish bar could be opening, on the the St Nicholas Retail Park. The park was formerly the site of Anglian Canning, and at the moment has four retail outlets: Wickes DIY, Farmfoods, Choices Video, and Netto Foodstore.

More updates to site
We've been busy working on the site again, with the Events Page now more up to date (It was still showing events from 2001!) and given a new look to the Shops Page. There's still heaps to do... but we hope to have everything fully working and up to date within the next few months. Also, lots of new features planned. Keep us bookmarked!

Helipad for Queen Elizabeth Hospital
A purpose-built concrete state-of-the-art helipad is planned for Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital which would allow the services to run after dark, if needed, for the first time. At the moment the helicopter can't land at night so patients have to be taken elsewhere - Norwich for example. No emergency services can be run at night although there will be the opportunity to transfer patients if required during the evening. However, in order to accomplish our Helipad Appeal the East Anglian Air Ambulance need to raise £60,000.00 to build this facility which will give them the chance to use the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 24 hours a day. Only the Norfolk & Norwich currently has such facilities in the whole of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. If you would like to make a donation you can make cheques out to East Anglian Air Ambulance, and send them to Lynn News Helipad Appeal, Limes House, Purfleet Street, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 1HL. If you have a credit or debit card, you can make a donation online by clicking here. Make sure you select the Kings Lynn Helipad Appeal from the dropdown menu.

We've been busy working on the site...
We have been busy once again, working on the website today: Updating broken links, and out of date information. Also adding new features, such as this Web Log. It's a big task, as the site has not been updated for years... and there's still much to do. So please bookmark us, and keep calling back, as we strive to make this site one of the best in Norfolk! Other recent changes include automating the News section and a new automated Jobs section.
