Exciting new exhibitions coming
Two exciting new exhibitions will soon be opening at Lynn Museum after a major £1.2 million re-development. The "West Norfolk Story" will cover local history from the Iron Age to the 20th century, and will be open from Saturday 20th October with a packed programme of events for the half term holiday. The displays will explore a range of fascinating themes including Lynn's medieval and maritime heritage, the development of the town and life in the country. Objects on display will include the fantastic Victorian fairground gallopers made by Norfolk craftsman Fred Savage. Some of the museum's most popular exhibits will also be back on show, including Horace the tiger. Easter 2008 will then see the opening of another new gallery, 'Seahenge' that will feature the unique 4,000 year-old timber circle. The display will include a walk-in replica, alongside many of the original timbers excavated from Holme beach. Lynn Museum
