We paid a visit to the latest exhibition of watercolours by popular Hunstanton artist Frank Gibson held at the Arts Centre in King Street.
The 86-year-old greeted us outside the Old Warehouse Gallery with hands held to the sky, as the sun suddenly appeared through stormy skies.
His scenic seascapes and skyscapes were pure pleasure to view, the pastel shades giving each painting a feeling of calm and tranquility. Many of the paintings were of the Wash and had titles such as “Solitude”. Others were of the Lake District.
Our copy of The Wash – above – doesn’t do justice to the quality of Frank’s paintings. You really need to see them for yourself!
The exhibition is open daily until Saturday, July 2nd from 10am to 4.30pm
Admission is free and paintings will be on sale.
