King’s Lynn open air shopping centre, The Vancouver Quarter is offering 2 full days of FREE half term activities.
The centre is working with Kings Lynn Arts Centre Trust and running the activities in the current Arts Centre Trust display unit on Broad Street (next to Peacocks).
Abbie Panks, Vancouver Quarter marketing manager said, “it’s great to work with the Arts Centre Trust on projects like this, we are alway keen to partner on projects and particularly keen to bring more at to the high street so it seemed like an ideal opportunity”
Those taking part will have the chance to make Valentine’s Cards, heart brooches and roses, Thunderbird rockets, mobile phone cases, Alice bands, Origami animals and on Friday part of the unit will be converted into a 1960’s salon where children can try1960’s style make-up, dress up and have their photograph taken.
Liz Falconbridge, Arts Education Manager said “bringing these activities into the heart of the shopping centre is a great idea, it’s a perfect opportunity for children to have a go at something they might not have tried before, its also is a wonderful way to highlight some of the kind of activities we have on offer at the Arts Centre ”
The activities take place on Monday 13th and Friday 17th February from 10-3pm, next to Peacocks, are free of charge, and are suitable for those aged 7 -14.
