Freebridge Tenant Awards

The Freebridge Community Housing Tenant Awards took place on Friday 27th April and recognised the contribution which Freebridge tenants are making within their communities.
Now in their seventh year, the Awards were given out at a special ceremony at King’s Lynn Town Hall by presenters including the Mayor of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Councillor Colin Sampson.
The full list of winners was as follows:
· Community Champion : Star Brock
· Good Neighbour : Jenny Twiddy
· Inspiration to Others : Robert Bunting
· Young Inspiration to Others : Ashley & Leah Doak
· Special Achievement Award : The Discovery Centre
· Special Employee Achievement Award : Andy Robinson and Wayne Desborough
Other presenters on the night included the Chair and Chief Executive of Freebridge, Ray Johnson and Tony Hall, and the Chair of the Freebridge Tenant Forum Philip Anderson.
EDP West Norfolk Chief Reporter Chris Bishop handed out the award for Good Neighbour whilst Hannah and Adam from the KLFM breakfast show presented the Young Inspiration to Others category.
The nominees for the awards were put forward by tenants and Freebridge employees. The winners were chosen by a panel which included tenant, board, employee and independent representatives.
Tony Hall, Freebridge’s Chief Executive said: “Once again, the Freebridge Tenant Awards have given us the opportunity to recognise those individuals who are making a difference within their communities, and to Freebridge.
“It is always a pleasure to meet the winners and nominees who are showing such generosity, commitment and support to others, all on a voluntary basis. On behalf of everyone at Freebridge, I am delighted to have the opportunity to say ‘thank you.’
