Norfolk Crafts at Bircham Windmill
This May Bank Holiday, Sunday 6th and Monday 7th of May, Bircham Windmill are holding their annual Craft Fair. The fair and the Windmill attraction will be open from 10 am to 5 pm each day with free entry to the Craft Fair.
Visitors will be able view a really traditional craft fair and speak directly to the crafts men and women selling their wares. As a special treat on Sunday, ‘the Castaways’ will be singing from 1pm.
The Windmill museum, tearoom, bakery, gift shop and cycle hire are all open as usual and well worth a visit. There’s a new exhibition in the gallery by local photographer, James Fox and there will be a range of Great British China in the baking shop ready for the Jubilee.
Outside, for the children there will be guinea pigs, (the babies were born on April 1st), lambs, our orphan calf, ‘Pebbles’ the donkey, pygmy and angora goats which will be in the stable for visitors to see during the craft fair and pony rides for most of the weekend.
Sheeps cheese will be made on the Saturday for sale and to sample. The bakery will be running flat out over the bank holiday weekend to provide bread, rolls, cakes and scones for visitors to buy, or sample in the tearooms.
