Foodbank needs your help

The King’s Lynn Foodbank are appealing for your help this Christmas.

The Foodbank is currently feeding over 200 people a month. That’s 22% more people than at the same time last year, but the generosity of the public is essential for their ongoing efforts.

‘Supermarket Collections’ are one of the main ways that food is donated: These are food drives held at supermarkets where volunteers give shoppers a ‘foodbank shopping list’ and ask them to buy an extra item or two for local people in crisis.

The Foodbank are holding three collection days at the new Tesco Hardwick Road store as part of their national Christmas collection, and volunteers are needed to stand at the entrance and hand out leaflets to people as they come into the store. T-shirts, tabards, and even the odd mince pie will be provided to those wishing to help.

If you are able to spare one or two hours at some point over the weekend starting Friday 29th November and ending Sunday 1st December then please contact Ben at this email address: ben@kingslynn.foodbank.org.uk

Collection hours will be 10am till 4pm.
