PACT animal santuary opened their new charity shop at 67 High Street on Saturday.

PACT specialises in rescuing and re-homing neglected, injured and abandoned animals. They currently care for 1200 animals at their base near Hingham in Norfolk, including cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets and birds. Their speciality is ‘problem animals’ victims of physical or mental abuse, who are coaxed back to health and restored to their natural dignity.

“This is our 9th shop” said co-founder George Rockingham. “We rely heavily on our shops to keep going. Without the shops we just wouldn’t exist.”

“We need regular donations of good quality clothing and bric a brac, and desperately need volunteers to help serve and sort goods. Donations are always very welcome.”
