As part of the borough council’s link up with Amiens in France, further projected light shows are being planned for this year and French artist Halida Boughriet would like to involve local people in her installation which is set to be displayed on the town’s Greyfriar’s Tower.

The focus for her installation, which is provisionally called ‘Ephemeral Scenes of Lynn’ will be human interaction and performance. To create her light show she is seeking 10 people who will be filmed under a light pretending to whistle or blow.

Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Marketing, said: “This is a great opportunity for people to engage with this project and to become part of an art installation that will launch on 27 March this year and be shown throughout the year. I hope that people of all ages will come forward.”

To nominate yourself, all you need to do is take two ‘selfies’ – one face on and one side profile and email them to project officer sarah.moore@west-norfolk.gov.uk by 6 February 2015. Successful nominees will be chosen at random.

The filming will take place on 11, 12 and 13 February and successful nominees will be notified of the details.
