Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds, Cabinet Member for Culture, Heritage and Health, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response so far with many of the booked activities filling up fast. It is set to be a fantastic day and I would urge families to take a look at the event webpage, where they’ll find details of all the events, their locations and booking details, where applicable, so they can plan and get the most from the day.”

Abbie Panks, Vancouver Quarter Centre Manager, said: “Fairy Tales and Legends is a great way for different venues across the town to link together and provide yet another fantastic and free event for King’s Lynn.

“The packed programme is good for children of all ages, with activities such as sound play workshops for toddlers right up to writing classes for pre-teens, as well as plenty of other things to make, see and do.

“Some spaces remain on the booked activities and there will be lots of activities which operate on a drop-in basis too. “

Activities take place from 10 am until 4 pm and include activities for children as young as 2 years old as well as older children. Children are invited to come dressed as characters from fairy tales or legends. Maps showing the location of each activity will be available from Tuesday Market Place, the Tourist Information Centre and each of the participating venues on the day.

Fairy Tales and Legends has been organised by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk and is supported by Vancouver Quarter.
