King’s Lynn Freemasons: The Good Samaritans

cap

Left to right: Mrs Lynn Riches, Mr Ian Riches, Worshipful Master of The Philip Broadfoot Lodge, and Mrs Wendy Livesey, Chair of King’s Lynn Samaritans.

The Philip Broadfoot Lodge No. 6478 of King’s Lynn have adopted The King’s Lynn Samaritans and Meningitis Now as their “Charities of the Year”.

To support both charities was the decision of Ian’s Lady Wife, Lynn, and she said that her choice of the Samaritans was because she felt “the Charity was very good, quiet and unassuming. The support offered to people in emotional distress, especially young males, was very important and worthwhile.” Lynn expressed her gratitude to the strong support shown in the Lodge for her choice.

Ian Riches, Worshipful Master of the Philip Broadfoot Lodge is seen here, presenting Wendy Livesey, Chair of the King’s Lynn Samaritans, a cheque for £1000.00.

Accepting the donation Wendy said that everyone was delighted that the Branch had been chosen as one of the Freemasons Charities and that the donation would go towards funding the recruitment and training of two Volunteers.
