Celebrating The Queen’s birthday in Dersingham

Bilton at Dersingham

Bilton Silver Band at Dersingham

In honour of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th Birthday, the congregation of St. Nicholas Church, alongside the people of Dersingham are throwing open their doors for two special events on Saturday 11th June.

During the day, from 10am until 3pm, a Display of Village History through the last 90 years, entitled “Dersingham in the Second Elizabethan Age” will take place. Over 15 village organisations will be displaying their own history, collectively remembering the life of the Queen by looking back at their own successes throughout the last 90 years.

Daytime events include the Dersingham WI, Village Sports Clubs, the village Scouts & Guides, Horticultural Society, Mothers’ Union, the village Methodist Chapel and St. Nicholas Church itself with light refreshments provided throughout.

Then in the evening, the inimitable Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band will be returning to perform a Celebratory Summer Concert in the Church at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £10 per person and will include interval refreshments.

Previously heard at sell-out concerts at Christmas during the Church’s Christmas Tree Festival, the Bilton Silver band have been returning to St. Nicholas for the last 8 years, this friendship is now expanding to include this summer concert to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

More information or to buy tickets to the concert from secretary@stndersingham.co.uk or via telephone: 01485 544561
