Free entertainment in town with a 1940’s twist

There’s an exciting start to kick off the King’s Lynn Festival season this year – On Saturday 16th July, visitors can enjoy free entertainment in various town centre locations with a 1940’s twist including:

Hoofbeat Street Band– 11.30am – 1.30pm playing jazz, folk and classical music outside RBS Bank (next to Argos)

Travelling by Tuba– 12.30pm-2.30pm Featured on Channel 4’s Okey Cokey Karaoke, their performances are fun for children of all ages, playing outside Newlook area.

Springwood High School Jazz and Concert Bands – 1pm-3.30pm Talented young musicians will showcase their skills with some familiar feet-tapping tunes and popular classics. Dance if you dare! Playing in Tuesday Market place Marquee.

Silent Disco– 10am-3.30pm This is the latest craze that is sweeping across London and the UK. Participants wear wireless LED headphones, which can connect to multiple music sources guaranteeing everyone leaves with a smile. Come and dance or relax in a deckchair and listen in Tuesday Market Place.

11.30am-12pm – Tuesday Market Place Marquee

1pm-1.30pm – Kings Lynn Museum

2.15pm – 2.45pm – Upstairs Bar at the Corn Exchange (n.b. No Disabled Access)

Norfolk Knitters presents The Wool Workshops – 10am-11am For all ages to come along and have a play with wool including jewellery making and pompoms! In the Marquee in Tuesday Market Place.
