Vamps to headline Festival Too 2016

British indie rock band The Vamps are set to headline this year’s free Festival Too series of concerts on Saturday 2nd July.

Their debut single “Can We Dance”, debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart in 2013. They followed with chart hits “Wild Heart” and “Last Night” in 2014. More hits followed with “Somebody To You”, “Oh Cecilia” , “Wake Up” and “I Found A Girl” in 2016.

Also included in the Festival line-up are multi-platinum selling English singer Gabrielle , British alternative rock band The Wonder Stuff and seventies dance and soul band Odyssey best known for their 1977 hit “Native New Yorker.”

Festival Too kicks off on Sat 25th June at 8pm on King Staithe Square featuring party covers band Bear Club. There’s also the usual fairground rides, food stalls and fireworks display.

The following concerts will all take place on the Tuesday Market Place.


Saturday, June 25 from 8pm (King Staithe Square) – Bear Club (ultimate party covers band), fireworks.

Friday, July 1
from 7.30pm – St Clement’s High, Soft Tone Needles, Phats and Small, Kym Mazelle, Oddysey.

Saturday, July 2 from 6.30pm (more acts to be confirmed) – Springwood High, Battle of the Bands runner-up, Phoenix Calling, The Vamps

Lazy Sunday, July 3, from noon with presenters Louis La Roche and Sophie Little – Battle of the Bands solo/duo finalists, Jamie Moon, Killamonjambo, Jake Morrell, Kingdom Keys, Rebelation

Friday, July 8 from 7.30pm – Thinking Men, Aladdinsane, The Wonder Stuff

Saturday, July 9, from 6.30pm (more acts to be confirmed) – Battle of the Bands winner, Heir, Gabrielle.
