Trues Yard Fishing Heritage Museum

Trues Yard Fishing Heritage Museum

Every Thursday at 1pm from 29th September to 17th November the Museum will be holding the 12th series of the immensely popular True’s Talks. Admission is free, but with ticket only as numbers are limited, so booking is essential. Tickets are available at the Museum from 30th August.

The talks cover a variety of local history subjects from ‘Historical Crimes of King’s Lynn’, to ‘Wisbech Born: Octavia Hill (1838-1912)’ and the intriguing ‘The £6,000,000 Corpse: The ‘Forgotten Treasure’ of Hardwick Road Cemetery’.

The talks programme is part of a series of events connected with the Museum’s Pat Midgley Research Centre, which received Heritage Lottery Funding last year. Facilities for local and family history research include a reference library, archive rooms, a reading room and the town’s only Sound Archive.
