Half term family activities - WWT Welney
Family trail and arts and crafts to celebrate Welney’s winter spectacle and the importance of healthy wetlands. Join in the International Year of Biodiversity to celebrate the wealth of wildlife which use the wetlands at Welney at this time of year. Witness one of the most spectacular sights in the UK as wintering wild swans and wildfowl are fed daily at 12noon and 3.30pm. Or wait until dusk when thousands return to the washes at night to roost and watch the 6.30pm floodlit feed. Normal admission applies. www.wwt.org.uk

King's Lynn Mart
The Mart is on the Tuesday Market Place. Children’s Day at the Mart is Monday February 15th when rides on the dodgems will cost £2.00 a time and the other rides will all cost a £1.00. The mart will open at noon on February 13th, 15th, 16th, 20th, and 27th, and at 6.00pm the rest of the time. The Mart does not open on Sundays.

One course Supper at 6.30, talk at 7.30pm, cost £7.50. The talk will encompass the establishment of the first permanent English settlement in North America, at Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607. It will deal with aspects such as the motives behind the establishment of the settlement, the reasons for its survival, interaction with the Native Americans of Tidewater, Virginia and the myth and reality surrounding Pocahontas.
