The King John Cup
The "King John" Cup (c.1325) is a priceless piece of history made of silver, gold and jewels. It is the oldest and finest specimen of all English secular medieval cups, and has been used for centuries as a "loving cup".
Proud property of The Borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, the cup can be viewed in the Regalia Rooms at the Town Hall, where it is displayed in a high security glass cabinet.
Also on display here, are other fascinating items of regalia, and beautiful ancient manuscripts, written in old English and Latin. These are the old town records, as they were hand-written before computers were invented! Well worth a visit!
